In 1940, we began this ministry at the University of Georgia. We moved into our current building in 1959. Since that time, the Presbyterian Student Center at The University of Georgia has been a place for students to come and grow in faith. Many students have passed through our doors during the most formative years of their lives. Insofar as it is possible, we like to keep in touch with our alums and friends.

The Presbyterian Student Center/Presbyterian Campus Ministry, Inc. is a subordinate 501(c)3 of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and all gifts are tax deductible.

Often, our alums and friends ask for specific ways to help out around the PSC by giving their time or resources to a particular project or cause. Below is a list of needs. If you feel led to help in any of these ways, then we would be grateful to hear from you.

 
 

Building Needs

* the costs associated with these projects are all estimated. If you are interested in contributing to provide one of these items, please let Will know, and we will acquire an updated bid on the proposed work/item)

  • New HVAC system & Electrical Panel ($300K)

  • New Doors & Windows (energy efficient, safety glass, ADA Compliant) ($250K)

  • ADA Compliant, all gender restrooms ($150K)

  • Aesthetic & Functional Updates (in order of priority)

    • Accessibility entryways ($100K)

    • New Furniture ($75K)

    • AV Installed in all meeting areas (Conference, Lounge, Dining, entryways) -
      $50K

    • New Flooring (Lounge & Dining) - $25K

    • Kitchen Upgrades ($100K)

    • Outdoor Patio & Furniture ($25-50K)

  • ongoing grounds work

Program Needs

  • Budget Support (Annual Budget currently $220K, with 5 year goal of $300K, to expand visibility & connection with the wider church, increase ministry/staffing hours, and keep up with regular building maintenance).

  • Retreat scholarships (Fall Retreat, Montreat, Mission Trips, etc)

  • sponsorship of dinners (approx. $350/wk)

  • sponsorship of annual leadership retreat (~$1K)

  • student referrals

  • attendance at congregational or community events

  • attendance at annual alumni/ae event
