Ministry

Our vision of ministry at the Presbyterian Student Center is accomplished through seven ministry teams, which are led by seven student ministers.

Encounter Team

The Encounter Team introduces students to our ministry through Sunday dinners, intramural sports, off-site gatherings, and special events. They also coordinate activities with the larger university community. For more information, contact Karen Hartsfield.

Interfaith Relations Team

The Interfaith Relations Team coordinates interfaith events with other religious groups on and off campus and intrafaith worship services and events with other campus ministries. For more information, contact Clay Mersmann.

Worship Team

We worship together on Tuesday nights during the semester at 8p. The Worship Team coordinates this along with the Prayer Board and other worship services. Our chapel is open for prayer every weekday during the fall and spring semesters from 9a to 5p. For more information, contact Ben Sheppard.

Community Team

We build community at the PSC through small groups, which we call community groups. These community groups meet regularly to pray, read Scripture, and share with each other. New community groups, including Freshmen groups, will form at the beginning of the fall semester. For more information, contact Daniel Kilfoyle.

Retreat Team

The Retreat Team plans and leads retreats, including the Statewide Presbyterian Campus Ministries of Georgia retreat in the fall (Oct. 14-16, 2011), the College Conference at Montreat (Jan. 2-5, 2012), and the spring retreat.  For more information, contact Laura Kent.

Service Team

The Service Team coordinates local mission projects, community service, and educational opportunities. For more information, contact Adrienne Schwartzman.

Mission Team

The Mission Team coordinates one or more mission trips, typically during spring break and/or early summer. For more information, contact Daniel Tinsley.

If you would like to serve on one of these teams or learn more about their ministries, then you are welcome to contact the team leaders.
