…stories, news, and information about the Presbyterian Student Center at The University of Georgia…

We had a great time tonight at the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. Our friends from the Episcopal Center, the Evangelical Lutherans, and the Disciples on Campus joined us. We had an army of cooks in the kitchen working on pancakes and bacon. Father Dann brought a king cake with the stipulation that the ministry of the person who found the baby would be responsible for the king cake and the Ash Wednesday sermon next year. Of course, one of our students found it. Thanks to everyone who came out! We’ll see you tomorrow at the Ash Wednesday service (5p at the Episcopal Center).

Man, did we eat some pancakes tonight. Brent, Cate, Mark, Meaghan, and Robert were all in the kitchen cooking and we couldn’t keep up with demand. We had a great group of Episcopalians, Disciples, and Lutherans join us for our annual pancake supper. Next year, I’ll make sure to get more griddles.

To the left are Ande and Lauren. They win the “best dressed” prize. I almost didn’t recognize Lauren when she came in (a big thanks to Father Dann brought Mardi Gras beads for everyone).
Now, it’s time to go home and get ready for Ash Wednesday. We’re worshipping at the Episcopal Center tomorrow at 5:00pm.
