We had our last worship service of the semester on Sunday night. We honored our graduates and our outgoing leadership. It was a sad, but meaningful, to say goodbyes, honor graduates, and thank those who have done so much in the past year. It was also a hopeful time as we commissioned our new leaders for the 2009-2010 school year. Thanks to Betsy, Brent, Mark, and Meaghan for your leadership as student ministers this past year. Thanks to Adam, Ande, Hayley, and Tim for your willingness to serve in the coming year. We’re also excited about Mitch Roper, who will be the Campus Ministry Intern for 2009-2010.

We had “Senior Night” on Sunday and recognized our graduating seniors. Here’s the goofy picture. We gave them balloons, bibles, and the opportunity to speak during worship. I felt that it was important to give them the opportunity to speak in worship and I’m glad that I did. For the most part, they spoke about how open, friendly, welcoming, and loving this community has been to them. Some of them experienced that for the first time several years ago and some only a few weeks ago. Either way, it’s a testament to what this community of faith means to those who are in it.
