Here’s a picture of the folks who helped. We covered the bed with mulch made from recycled pallets. After we finished, it rained (good timing, God).

We also had a great worship service centered around environmental stewardship. Mitch and Calley made a slide show and a brochure to help us be better stewards. Let us know if you’d like a copy of the brochure or if you’d like to see to slide show (.ppt document). [posted by Andy]

This Sunday, April 19, is Earth Day Sunday. Calley and Mitch have been working hard to make it a good one. We will be gathering for dinner at 6:15p and worship at 7:00p as we normally do, but we are inviting everyone to show up a little early to plant some flowers and shrubs before dinner. Show up at 5:30p this Sunday if you’d like to help.

Pictured here are Calley and Mitch preparing the site for Sunday. We already dug the holes. All that you have to do is show up, put the plant in the hole, and cover it with dirt. We are planting Camellias, Oak Leaf Hydrangeas, Ferns, and Green and Gold.

On Earth Day (Wed. April 22), we will be showing Garbage! in the TV room at 8:00p and doing a waste audit at 9:15p. Hope to see you then! [posted by Andy]
