This past Sunday, we hosted “High School Night” at the PSC. We invited some local high school folks to come out and see what campus ministry is all about. We had youth from Covenant Presbyterian and Oconee Presbyterian join us for dinner and worship (pictured are a few of the high school students after worship). Mark and the worship team plugged in for worship rather than go the usual acoustic route–that was pretty cool. After worship, we hung out for a while–I stayed around long enough to get beat at ping pong by someone from Covenant (grrr).
We talked about the importance of campus ministry and how to find campus ministries that are well suited for you on different campuses. To learn more about Presbyterian campus ministries, go to www.pcusacollege.org. [posted by Andy]

Holy Week was a joyful blur. We celebrated Maundy Thursday together with communion and a footwashing service in the chapel. In John’s Gospel, Jesus gets up from the table, washes feet, and then returns to the table. We imitated some of that by folding the footwashing into the communion liturgy. There are few things that will solidify the community more than washing feet–it’s one of my favorite things about Holy Week.
