This is a picture of the Presbyterian Student Center from the 1957 Pandora, less than 2 years after the purchase of the property at 1250 S. Lumpkin St. and just before the construction of the current building. We moved into our current building in 1959. Though we did not have the property until 1955, the ministry began in 1940 under the leadership of Margaret Friend, a full-time “student worker” whose salary was paid from the Blue Blessing Boxes offering that was collected by the Presbyterian Women of Georgia. Thanks to Carla Buss for finding this picture for us and to Alex Williams for providing the history.
